Prior to joining the firm, Michael engaged in private practice for 25 years as a Partner in the Doylestown firm of Clemons and Klimpl; before that time, Michael practiced law in New York City, specializing in commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He has been a member of the Bucks County Solicitor’s Office since 1984, representing the interests of the County of Bucks, its Commissioners and various departments and agencies. His duties in this office include representation of the County in federal and state court for employment, civil rights and construction litigation, as well as insurance issues, contract procurement and land acquisition.
Michael has served as Solicitor to zoning hearing boards and to a municipal water and sewer authority. He’s also been General Counsel to local and regional manufacturing, apparel and shopping center enterprises, and has involved himself in a wide range of issues, including initial organization and incorporation, shareholder and buy-sell agreements, daily operations, employment matters and dissolution.
Michael has previously taught law courses at Temple University, Delaware Valley College, and Bucks County Community College, and presented at a seminar on land use planning. He has also been active in the Doylestown Athletic Association as a league director and coach.
