AMM Law Partner and Employment Attorney, Patricia C. Collins, will join a continuing legal education panel on Friday, September 18th at the Bucks County Bar Association’s 2026 Bench Bar Conference at Resorts World Catskills.
Collins will be joined on the panel by Judge Amy M. Fitzpatrick, Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, Adriel J. Garcia, Esquire and Beth A. Hurley, Esquire, both of Stradley Ronan. The course, entitled, “Recent EEOC Action and DEI Best Practices for Employers”, will discuss recent enforcement actions taken by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) directed at DEI programs that allegedly violate Title VII protections against employment discrimination. The panel will review the basics of EEOC enforcement, recent Executive Orders aimed at DEI employment practices, and two recent enforcement cases: EEOC v. Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, Inc. in U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, and EEOC v. New York Times, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The course will conclude with a discussion of best practices for employers who seek to defend their programs aimed at diversity and inclusion month their employees.
